Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Pickup directly from Colombo International Airport (CMB) and drive straight to Sigiriya. Check into your hotel and spend the rest of your day relaxing after your flight.
Day 2
Climb the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress in the refreshing morning breeze. In the afternoon, embark on an authentic Habarana private 4x4 elephant safari. Cap off the night with a peaceful walk through the local town.
Day 3
Hike up Pidurangala Rock for an unforgettable sunrise over the cultural plains. Return to the hotel to refresh, then take a 1-hour drive to the medieval capital of Polonnaruwa. Explore its legendary ancient ruins, including Gal Vihara, the Royal Palace of Parakramabahu, Parakrama Samudra, Vatadage, Rankoth Vehera, Thivanka Image House, and Lankathilaka Temple.
Day 4
Drive to the hill capital of Kandy. Immerse yourself in the local atmosphere with a tour around the scenic Kandy Lake, explore Kandy city, and pay a visit to the deeply sacred Temple of the Tooth.
Day 5
Drive from Kandy into the high country. Pause in Nuwara Eliya to relax at Gregory Park and enjoy an optional scenic boat ride or jet ski adventure. Next, board the bucket-list mountain train ride to Ella, where your private driver will meet you at the station and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 6
Spend your day exploring the beautiful mountain town of Ella. Walk along the historic Demodara Nine Arch Bridge, hike up your choice of Little Adam's Peak or Ella Rock for sweeping vistas, and take a vibrant evening stroll through Ella town.
Day 7
Drive down to the southern coast and stop in Mirissa to marvel at the famous Coconut Tree Hill. Check into your tropical beach hotel, with flexible accommodation options situated right by the waves in Mirissa, Hiriketiya, or Weligama.
Day 8
Head out for an early morning ocean whale watching excursion in Mirissa. In the afternoon, grab your mask for a memorable snorkeling experience at Polhena Beach to swim alongside local sea turtles, then spend a quiet relaxing evening.
